Choose Files to Process - How do you save a list of files to process again later?

Many Axiom products can process multiple files. These products each have a “Choose Files to Process” dialog box, designed to help you choose which files to process.

Often you may determine which files you need to process and know you’re going to need to process those same files in the future. This article will walk you through the steps to save and recall a list of files to process.

Create and save a file list

  1. Press the <Edit List…>/<Select…> button next to the “Files:”/”Design Files” field. This will bring up the “Choose Files to Process” dialog box.
  2. Use one of the four methods at the top of the dialog box—Browse ProjectWise, Browse for files, Search for files, Drag-and-drop files—to navigate to and select your files for processing.
  3. Go to File | Save File List, then browse to a convenient folder, enter a file name and press <Save>.

You’ve now saved a list of files for future processing.

Load a saved file list

  1. Press the <Edit List…>/<Select…> button next to the “Files:”/”Design Files” field to once again load the “Choose Files to Process” dialog box.
  2. Go to File | Import File List…, then browse to and select the list file (.lst) saved previously.

You’ll see the “Choose Files to Process” dialog box is now populated with the same files that were there when you saved the list.
