Your family library is created automatically when you add a folder containing families to search.

Let’s walk through it.

1. Go to File | Choose where to search for families or views… | Add folder containing families or views to be included.

2. Press <Add Folder>, then <Add Folder of Families>, now navigate to and select the folder of families you’d like to add to your library.

The Library Location field shows where library is stored. The new library always defaults to your local user directory.
